“As a doctoral student, I experienced a culture of caring that nurtured my own faith. Nursing is a calling, and at Samford, I learned that I can show people, through nursing, that God loves them–that they are seen, known and their lives have purpose.” – Rachel Steil, DNP ‘19
The nurse anesthesia program is a 36-month, 92-credit course of study. With a low student to faculty ratio, this program offers a unique experience with the first two semesters online, the next three semesters in-person and the final four semesters in clinical rotations.
“I have never felt like a number; I have felt known and fully understood. Each faculty member along the way has taken the time to get to know me, my strengths and my weaknesses, and they have worked to shape me into a better student, better clinician and better person because of this.” – Braden Clark, Nurse Anesthesia Student
The online post-master’s DNP nurse leader option is available for master's-prepared nurses. This degree will prepare you for leadership roles in evidence-based practice and to fully implement emerging science and practice innovations in health care.
“The classes in the Post-Graduate DNP program have prepared me to have confidence as a nurse leader and the foundation for a second career in higher education. I want to be able to help ease the transition from learning to practice and all the anxiety that accompanies the process. The culture at Samford is nurturing, while growing successful graduates.” – Dannelle Paz, CRNA, Post-Graduate DNP student
